Pomodori gratinati

The recipe for making gratin tomatoes, with breadcrumbs, basil and olive oil is quick and easy. In less than an hour it allows you to bring a healthy and tasty summer dish to the table.


(for 4 servings)

16 plum tomatoes sammarzano like

1 cup of breadcrumbs

2 cloves of garlic

2 bunches of fresh basil

1/2 cup of olive oil

salt and pepper to taste


  • To prepare the tomatoes au gratin you must first remove the stalk and cut them in half to empty the seeds with a spoon. In a blender, finely chop the basil and garlic.

  • Add oil, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper.

  • Stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. With the help of a spoon, stuff the tomatoes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Sprinkle them with a little olive oil and cook them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven, let stand for five minutes before serving.
